NoneRev was a ROBLOX revival project dedicated to bringing back the 2016 ROBLOX experience. During its runtime, the project supported multiple operating systems and architectures.

History

NoneRev was created by yesohelpmegod, and mrrpmeowfurry joined the development team later on September 6, 2026. It was released to testers from September 12 to October 11, 2026, before publicly releasing on October 11, 2026.

During its runtime, NoneRev provided a variety of clients and Studio builds, such as Windows, Android, Linux, and macOS (privately tested), with a 2013 client being worked on as well.

There was also an ARM64 client, which was showcased by mrrpmeowfurry on Reddit.

Closure

On October 13th, 2026, NoneRev got its first fake DMCA complaint from its hosting provider (OVH), which claimed that the website distributed Roblox software without authorization and used 2016 Roblox web source code. To keep the revival up, mrrpmeowfurry spent around 2 hours moving it from OVH to a temporary home server.

Once yesohelpmegod got a new server on Contabo, mrrpmeowfurry moved NoneRev over to it. Not even 24 hours after the move, the Contabo server was hit with another DMCA complaint and they couldn't retrieve any data from it, leading to NoneRev's shutdown on October 20th, 2026.

After the shutdown, yesohelpmegod announced that NoneRev would be rebranded into a private revival called "Eclipse", which is still active today. The source code for the NoneRev website (Purprev) and RCCManager were also made public, and the main site was updated to a "Here lies NoneRev" page explaining what happened.

Controversies

NoneRev did not have any known controversies.
