__gc is an RCE vulnerability which existed from 200X-2009, any code that's ran on __gc has no security context implemented onto it allowing attackers to run code on the server level.
Tutorial
To patch __gc, follow these steps
- Open x32dbg
- Go to the symbols tab and open the RobloxPlayerBeta.exe (or RobloxApp.exe) module
- Right click on the disassembler and then Search for -> Current Module -> String References and search for __gc (there should be 12 results but they're all the same thing, just open the first one)
- If you see
call roblox.675A20double click it and you should land on apush ebpinstruction with jne at the bottom - Replace JNE with JMP
- Patch the file
